A rich EPG (electronic programme guide) transforms IPTV from a raw channel list into something that feels like traditional TV. If your grid shows “No information”, the fix is usually configuration—not your subscription.
EPG URL and format
Providers sometimes send a separate XMLTV or compressed EPG link. Paste it into the EPG field of your player, not into the playlist field. Wait for the first refresh cycle—large guides can take several minutes.
Time zone (GMT / BST)
UK clocks change between GMT and British Summer Time. If programmes appear one hour off, check the app’s time zone setting and enable automatic network time on the device.
Refresh intervals
Aggressive refreshes every few minutes can slow older sticks. A 12–24 hour EPG update schedule is usually enough for stable metadata.
Channel mapping
When EPG rows do not line up with channels, use the app’s “assign EPG” or channel-ID mapping tools—each player labels this differently.
